Truly one of the most facinating animals that we own, our sulcata group consists of a 16 year-old and a 13 year old male, two 10 year-old females and one new 8 year-old girl. They roam our backyard year round munching on brumuda grass and supplemented veggies.
Our babies are kept outdoors except durring the cooler months. They are chowing on Mazuri Tortoise Diet, brumuda grass, dandilion leaves and flowers, hibiscus leaves and flowers, & turnip greens.

Marginated Tortoises are one of the largest of the testudo or "Mediterranean" tortoise species. They are known for the personable attitude and hardiness. I describe russian tortoises as the tortoise most similar to a puppy dog. They are extremely social, super friendly, and easy to keep. This species tolerate most U.S. climates well. We have an established long term group that lives in an outdoor enclosure on dozens of wild weeds and produce varieties. They are simply the funniest and most enjoyable tortoises I work with!

This a small to medium sized tortoise from the Eastern Mediterranean region. Greeks are a very hardy species that can be variably colored. They do well in many U.S. climates if housed outdoors, be sure to do research before keeping your tortoise outdoors to be sure your climate is suitable.
